  ORM Hints - Creating Account, Registering for Events

AXWare Systems ORM Usage Hints

Below are some helpful hints about how to use this site.

Before you register for any events, you must first create an account and cars in your garage.  This can be done in one of two ways.

  1. Automatic Account Create During Registration
  2. Creating a new Account manually

Automatic Account Create During Registration:

You may create an account automatically by clicking on any Register link from the Calendar page.  The system will guide you through the process automatically in the following manner.

  1. Click on a Register link for the Calendar page for event you want to participate in.
  2. A login page will be displayed, press the Create New Account and Continue
  3. Enter your user information in the User Information Page.
    Required fields include:
    • User ID
    • Password
    • Retype Password
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • SCCA Events:
      • It is important to enter your SCCA Membership Information at this point if you are an SCCA Member and will be participating in SCCA events. This includes your address information and your SCCA Member #. If you do not provide your SCCA information for SCCA Clubs and Events, you may be charged a NON-Member entry fee.

  4. When done, press Save and Continue.
  5. You will be directed to entering a Car into your Garage for the respective club. You must select a class, car number and enter any other pertinent information that is requested.  Here's an example of the dialog:
  6. When done, press Save
  7. You will be directed to the Registration page similar to the following.  Select the car and press the Register Selected Cars button. If online payments are required for the event, please follow the information on the screen to complete your registration.
  8. You now have an account in the system and are registered in an event.
  9. For future registrations, the process will be much quicker and with many fewer steps.  It will be shortened to only step #1 and #9.  Alternatively you may login and navigate the site at your convenience.  

Creating a new Account manually:

  1. Create user account (builds an account in the system). 
  2. Select clubs you will be participating with. This is an important step.
    • It provides access to their classing structure, and other club related policies.
    • Allows you to enter required information as a member (for SCCA clubs, this is the SCCA Membership information).
  3. Enter cars into your Garage (creates cars specific to the club's classing policies and data requirements)
  4. Register for an Event for that club.
1) Create an Account
  • Select "New? Create New Account"

     
  • A Create User page will allow you to fill in the contact information for AXWare Systems ORM. It is important to include a valid email so that the system or the club's administrators may contact you. Keep your password confidential. If you forget your password, please use Recover Password, found in the title bar.

    Once you have filled in the information, press Save to save your information. Once you do so, you will be forwarded to a My Clubs page.
     
  • The My Clubs page allows you to select the club which you will be participating with.  As you select the club, club policies will be displayed for your review.  It is important to subscribe to a club so that club classings and other policies will be in affect during the the creation of cars in your garage and during the registration process. 

    Once you have found the club you want, press the subscribe button to view the club policies and other information:


     
  • After pressing the Subscribe, you will be taken the My Membership page. This screen will allow you to enter Member specific data items. 
  • For SCCA Clubs and other clubs that have a nationally control membership number process, My Membership page allows you to enter your membership numbers as well as other other pertinent information, respective to the club.  Once you enter an SCCA Membership number, your will be activated automatically.  The validity of the membership information will be checked once you register for an event. Here is an example:
  • To edit your memberships, got to the My Membership page click on the Edit icon () to modify the membership settings, respectively.
  • Below is an example for a sample club (non-SCCA). Each clubs data columns may differ based on the club's settings.


2) Create Cars in your Garage

The next step is to create cars in your garage for the clubs you will participate with.  These cars will adhere to the classing policies of the club and any rules pertaining to car numbers.

  • Go To My Garage under "My Controls"
  • Press the Insert Car button, a Edit Garage Entry page will be displayed.

     
  • Fill in your class and car number and any other data fields that are provided. If you have subscribed to a club, you will note that the Club Field contains either 1 club name or a selection list.  If you have more than 1 club that you are subscribed to, create cars respective to each club in support of their classing policies.
  • When you have completed entering the data, press the Save button and () to return to the Garage Page.
  • Enter additional cars if necessary.
     
  • Note: Please view the Club's classing rules and structures if you have any questions classing related questions.

3) Registering for an Event

To register for any event go to the Event Calendar page (in the Events box). This is the default home page for the site.

  • To view events for a specific club, choose the club from the Club Selection pull-down list.
  • Select the Month and Year from the pull-down lists to narrow the number of events listed.  By default: 3 months are displayed from the selected Month.  If you would like to view all of the events for the club, select ALL in the Month pull-down. For example: If you want to participate in a March event, select March from the Month pull-down list.
  • From the list of events, select the event you want to register for. For each event use the following to view the club information, event information and to register.
    • Access the Club URL by clicking on the Club Name (if a URL is in configured)
    • Highlight the Event Name and click to access more detailed information about the event
    • To Register for an event click on (this is the one we want to click on)
    • To View Registration List click on
    • To View Event Information follow
    • If the event is capped and a waiting list exist, to register on the waiting list click on
       
  • The Registration button will take you to you to a Registration page from which you can select or enter cars for the event. To select a car from your garage, check the box to the left of the car and press the Register Selected Cars.
  • If Online Payments are active for this event, you may either Add Registrations To Cart, or if Online Payments is required, the entries will automatically be added to the cart. The amount due will be determined by your membership status automatically. Press the Submit Online Payment to process the cart entries.

4) Paying Online

If the club you are registering with supports Online Payment, either optionally or forced, you may use your credit card or PayPal (if so configure), for paying for your membership and registrations..

  • Registering for an event: When you register for an event you may see the Add Registrations To Cart button. Press this button to add you registrations to the cart.  Once added, use the Submit Online Payment or the cart icon under "My Controls" to complete the purchase.
  • The Submit Online Payment page will display the item summary and total amount that will be charged. Please review this information to make certain it is correct.
  • Payment process types: Your can be configured to use 1 of 2 main payment methods.
    1. Built-in Payment processing (AXWare Systems payment gateway): This accepts credits.
      You must enter your name, card type, credit card number, expiration date and the CVV (3 security code on the back of the card).
    2. PayPal checkout. This process uses PayPal processes to manage the checkout process to it's completion.
  • All processes are fully secure and all pages use SSL (HTTPS) once you login.
