Mar 24 SSSCC Annual Tech Inspection       SSSCC - # Registrations: 17
Annual Tech inspection ? (Open to all who meet the criteria listed below, especially chiefs who have a lot to do event mornings aside from prepping their cars) We are implementing an annual tech process this year for the first time. The plan is to go directly from breakfast over to the Dust Devils Stadium starting at 10:30 for annual tech inspections. There are a few qualifications for Annual tech. If you meet these qualifications, you can have your car teched at this inspection and you will be allowed to skip tech at the events. This will make for fewer cars in the tech line at events. A much needed thing for our tech chiefs. Here?s the criteria you must meet for our club: 1. Current SSSCC member. (you could join at the tech inspection if you meet the other criteria) 2. Have attended at least 5 events in 2006. 3. Have a car generally considered in good mechanical order. 4. Are knowledgeable, willing, and able to accept the responsibility of prepping the car for race day without a tech inspection. 5. Agree to void the annual tech if a mechanical failure or class changing modification occurs. This inspection will be more thorough than a normal event inspection, but all the normal stuff applies. Bring your car in race ready form. Numbers on the sides, loose stuff removed, everything. The only exception to this is that we do not require you to present the car with race tires on. Since there is no race planned for the weekend, we are allowing you to skip the race tire part. If you are running dedicated street tires for racing events, though, we?d prefer they were on the car. The more thorough we can be, the better.
