  • ORM is the easy answer for hosting your Live Timing and Official results for your events .
  • AXWare ORM/Club Results page now contains a "Go Live" button that will take you to either the Live Timing Reports as well as Streamed Live Timing in ORM, depending on the options you have selected.
  • Flexible, consistent, and providing various formats and content options.
  • Get the power you need.
TTOD Print Options
  • Added Print TTOD option that can be used to turn Print of TTOD's ON or OFF. When OFF, TTOD's are not printed on any report.
  • Clarification: Print TTOD in Heats and Print TTOD For 2 Day events, will also not print if the above is OFF.
ORM Streaming Found a mismatch column variable which will result in a SQL error when streaming was active. The culprit was the Tire Brand data field.

Enhancements

Raw Time Day 1 & 2 Removed "Raw Pos." from the default template. The "Raw Pos." is an overall Raw Pos.
Lapping Mode When running in Lapping mode and changes are made to the settings, especially to the Timer Modes, a new warning message will be displayed that informs you to cycle the timer interface to force the settings to take hold.

In prior versions, the settings were forced automatically which could result in the lapping mode to be reset and the lap counts ignored under the Timer Interface is cycled.  Now the timer mode settings will only take affect after the timing interface is cycled,  so that the existing laps can be completed.

Live Timing Results New Behavior has been put in place.
  • The Live Reports and Upload To locations are now Radio Buttons and not Check Boxes.  This allows you to flip your selections and reduces confusion as to where the push will occur.
  • The Upload FTP, Upload to ORM, Streaming Options are now explicit  and exclusive. Only 1 may be selected. This makes is easier to actively select where to push the results and removes the confusion that the prior versions could allow since they were Check Boxes and not Radio buttons.

Final NCCC Results Removed the need to manage the printing of the Book Marks in the Final NCCC report. All other non-NCCC reports can selectively Print Book Marks based on the setting in the HTML Print Settings.

Bug Fixes

NCCC Excel reports Head header on Excel based reports was not translated to tab delimited properly.
Live Timing Results The By Heat, Structured and Full Report always tuned on the Live Reports generation which was not the intension.

Version 17.40 - June 2017

New Features

Added Best Pax to Staging & Live Timing Added new Best Pax to staging data columns, which adds additional info for announce views and various stage based templates and reports.
Live Timing
  • New Best Pax Time select is now available in Live Timing Reports, and is automatically included in the Last 10 Run Summary.
  • Update ORM Streaming support that includes format and structural changes in AXWareTS, and AXWare ORM. ORM has been modified to better suit different devices and offers content in awesome and flexible ways.  Final results, pax, raw, individual class results, driver results, with or without runs showing, including a Run History that shows real-time action, including positions for overall, raw and pax as well as differentials.
  • Activating ORM streaming requires an ORM subscription and is as simple to activate as selecting the ORM Streaming option.
Pax Time with Total You can select to have the best pax time displayed with the Total Time in all reports (including Live Timing results). This provides a quick and easy display of the Best Time and Best Pax time. This setting is global.  For Bumped Classes (the existing option remains, either Total Time or Pax Time is used in the Total field).

Note: this can be used to replace the 'Pax Time' data field in any of the reports.
Networking Prior to this version, the Membership data files were not synchronized between the T&S Server and Networking Clients. Although fine for most clubs, this did not offer the looking features that are offered for events or for importing data from the Membership List.

Note: v17.30 offered better validation and would pop up a warning message on Networking Clients about a missing Membership File. Since it is not synchronized, this message will no longer pop up, unless the membership data set is in fact missing.

ORM Raw Timing Results Content If your club has a subscription to ORM, and you can upload Raw Timing results into ORM. We have enhanced the content and the formats significantly.  The Raw Timing upload generates results that are similar to ORM Live Streaming but are official.  Since audits and other edits may be done outside of Live Streaming, the Raw Timing Update is consider official content since it should encompass all audits and any edits necessary to the event before posting results.

ORM now contains formats that are not only flexible but very detailed. The results formatting is similar to Live Timing and supports the same features including formats better suited for different devices and offers content in awesome and flexible ways.  Final results, pax, raw, individual class results, driver results, with or without runs showing, including a Run History that shows real-time action, including positions for overall, raw and pax as well as differentials.

Enhancements

Heat Assignments Heat management can how be turned off by setting the number of heats to 0 in the Heat Assignments Dialog. This is helpful for clubs that run without heat control and want to remove various references of heats in the reports and other areas.
Membership File & Events The linked membership is now validated in a more explicit manner providing better control of program settings when membership files build with prior versions are loaded and may have outdated settings.  The settings are now forced to default values that potentially improve program stability.  Prior to this, old membership file could force out of range values and cause the software to crash.
Logging Manager More enhancements to the logging manager to provide smoother process control (most of this is background based and not evident to the user). Small speed improvements may result.
Report Changes To help separate data fields in reports, the reports now contain a 1 pixel column spacing. This is not the same as HTML Borders (which you may control in the HTML Options).
Standard Deviation Alternate option for DNF's and missed runs. If the Standard Deviation DNF (Off Course) penalty amount is set to 0.000 the DNF's and missed runs (no time) will be ignored in the calculations. Only valid runs will be counted.
Staging Grid The UP and DOWN buttons offer quick an easy actions to remove staged entries or move them down to add one that was missed. As an option, you may hide these buttons using the Staging Column preferences and use new Move UP and Move Down right mouse functions instead.
Points and Dropped Events When generating Pax Points, if the number of drops has not been reached, the Pax points report could put 0 into the Pax W/Drops field and thus the sort order was mainly unspecified (it did appear to be name based).  Dropped points will now only take affect only after the number of events exceeds the number of drops.
NCCC Events
  • added Sanction Type to event attributes
  • Bonus Points For Speed Events were modified to include support for section 8.1.3 section 3. A new subgroup addition FTD accumulation process has been added to support that rule set.
  • NEW Class Definitions requirements - added Sub Group designation to the Group name.  This new must be used to provide the additional Bonus points accumulation.  The format is "<Group Name> SG#".  # represents the sub-group number in the table in 8.1.3 section 4. Example: G1S M, N SG4, G2 A-D SG1, etc.
Also in support of the Sub-Groups, the "Class 2"  field in the Registration Grid will contain the sub-group as "SG#" for  visual assistance.
  • An updated class definition may be download from Downloads.
  • adjusted NCCC Final Results - Competition Points report to include wording in keeping with official NCCC reports.
  • Staging entries by entering a car number now allows you to enter car number for a men's entry and by adding an 'L' to the number to select a Ladies entry. In prior versions this required Unique Car Number mode to be ON. Ex: 5L will stage a ladies entry, and 5 will stage a men's entry, regardless of the Unique Car Number mode.

Bug Fixes

Pax Time on Time Slips Pax Time was not printed in the time slips in all cases.
Pax Class Trophy Positions The trophy positions were ignored in v17.30 for pax classes.
Class Tree View Fixed a potential crash condition when switch from Membership File to Event and immediately staging an entry.
Timing Trigger Thresholds When Timing Trigger thresholds were used and the times triggers exceeded 999.999 and reverted back to 0, the thresholds were not properly reset if a trigger spanned the overrun. This would result an incorrect threshold error.

NOTE: is it NOT recommended to try and manage false triggers with thresholds nor attempt to manage course layout issues where cars may sit in a beam for more than 2.5-3 seconds (the lock out time of typical emitters/sensors), timer dependant.  Most timers will re-trigger if a car is sitting in the beam after that time, but since that is a course safety that is something that automation should not be used to work around.

T-LINK #Sectors Improper column settings occur if the number of sectors was altered in an existing event.  When creating the event, the proper columns were configured.

Version 17.30 - May 2017

New Features

Live Timing Settings
  • To support virtual host names that some ISP's provide for FTP a new WEB Host name was added to the FTP settings to allow you to specify the public WEB host name, and a FTP Host Name for the virtual FTP connections.
Closing AXWareTS Additional precautions have been taken on Windows 8 and Windows 10 that cause a slight difference in behavior during a close operation. NOTE: We recommend updating any Windows 8 to Windows 10 due to OS stability, performance,  and usability of the OS.
Added TAG Heuer 440 mini Timer support Added the support for the TAG Heuer 440 Mini tower support.

Enhancements

Live Timing Settings
  • Structured Live Timing, improved pushing results when standings didn't change but time or penalties did on a per class basis. Prior to this, if the standings for a class didn't change, the class was not pushed.
Work Space - File Views The Active files are now displayed when you load AXWareTS prior to any event or membership file being loaded. This provides quick link access to class definitions. data folder and even the last Live Timing folder, as well as any other files related to the last event or membership file that was loaded.
Membership File Added additional validations to membership references from default settings and from events. This offers a consistent test for the membership file reference and maintains it's references.
Heats By Driver This was sticky to the computer that the event was running on. It is now part of the Event data.
Car Numbers + Letters Forced Car Numbers with letters (like 55A, 60B etc) to be Upper Case ONLY, in both events and membership.
Logging Statuses Additional logging has been added, especially during the closing of an event and the application.
Spaces in Classes Spaces are not valid characters in class definitions (Class abbreviation) and as of this version they are automatically trimmed in the class definitions, registrations and staging.
Logging Mechanism The logging features (Status Log, Registration Log, Staging Log, Networking Log etc) have been restructured to reduce issues on Windows 10 and Windows 8.  The new process is faster and provides better logging management (and process control).

Bug Fixes

Superclasses & Member Edit Entry Superclasses were not providing 100% support in the Membership File.  The same behavior is not providing as in the Event class selections when Superclasses are active.
Live Timing The setting Live Results Report was not always sticking.
Copy and Insert Registration entry If Copy and Insert was executed, a Print process could be blocked. The block has been fixed and as a work around, starting "Insert New" would unlock the Printing and pop up the last report.
Trophy Positions The trophy positions were incorrectly set on load due to a double count of the number of cars set as racing/registered. This doubled the 'T' positions and designated too many positions.
Start New Event It some installations AXWareTS crashed during creation of a new event.

Version 17.20 - April 2017

New Features

ORM & Live Timing
  • Added new responses from ORM that let the T&S folks know if the Event Name, Date, and Event Number are not correct for Live Timing to function.  These items must match the Event information in the Event and ORM and are validated prior to the Live Timing succeeding.
  • New restarts process for Uploads to restart cleaning, include a initial Push when the Live Timing is activated.
  • Added Status Messages to the Status Log Window to help indicate upload processes. Most of these messages are on only when Additional Status message are selected.

Enhancements

Style Sheets The report style sheets are now double checked to make certain they are not redundant for the Style sheet and Header Include. If they are found to be the same, the Header Include is cleared with Style Sheet taking precedence.
Summary Report 2 Day events - single day reports were modified to offer better single day differentials.
Superclasses & Heats
  • improved superclass generation and management
  • improved heat control for superclasses which are very similar to Pax classes but differ based on how they are defined.
Added Style Sheet Validation The style sheets that can be configured for Live Timing, Announcer, and Reports are checked to make certain they exist and are in the proper folders. A status dialog will pop up if they are not found or missing.
  • Style sheets are important for proper formatting of the reports and are more important for Live Timing and Announcing.
  • If the Report Style sheets are found to be out of date, they will be automatically copied to your Data Folder.
NOTE: This is new behavior.  If you have modified or changed any of the Style Sheets, your edits must be redone to the 'new' style sheet or formatting will be affected.
Class Tree Views Improved content for By Number views.
Insert New Entry When superclasses are being used the and Insert New Is selected, the dialog will now start with <OPEN> as the Pax (local) selection. This allows the user to select 'any' pax or superclass definition and allow the classes to selected more explicitly.

Selecting the Class first, will pre-load the explicit Pax (SuperClass) list that that class can be contained in.

Bar Code Scanning New option: Bar code Setup dialog has a new 'Set Focus..." option when in Registration Mode.
  1. When ON, Focus is set to the scanned entry.
  2. When OFF, no focus change occurs allowing the T&S person to move around the grid as desired.
  3. Note: the "Auto-Register..." option is used to set the entry as Registered when ON.
Time Slips A font size change didn't take immediate affect on time slips (due to a cached  size).
Loading & Validation Additional validations were implemented during the program load process.  The validations can help catch settings that have been corrupted or have non-valid pieces. Affects items include trophy positions, column preference and similar items.
Networking Synch The Worker Definition file was added to the synchronization list

Bug Fixes

Heat Assignments
  • When superclasses definitions are the only set of classes being used, the Heat Assignments did not generate the proper heat assignments.  This is a special condition that uses ONLY superclass classes and no base classes.
  • If changing the number of Heats, the Staging Windows did not always update the pull-down with the proper number of heats. It would reset on a re-load.
Summary Report
  • The Class Headers were disabled but are now back.
2 Day Events SaveAs would skip saving a few supporting files for the event.
Superclasses
  • Heat Class Tree views would at times not show a superclass immediately following heat assignments. This required specific configuration.  This was a reset view problem and reloading the event would refresh the View properly.
  • Certain PAX class SuperClass definitions did not expose the pax underlying class selections as expected.  Ex: F superclass with only CLS defined with 'F' as the superclass.
Class Tree Views
  • Class Tree View in a Membership file, By Number would double the pax prefix on entries in pax classes
  • When a Pax entry was deleted in a membership view, it was not remove it from the Class Tree View.
Copy and Insert Entry Depending on what functions were being carried out in Registration, a hang was possible is the timing of the "copy and insert" and bar code scanning occurred. This is not affect the 'Insert New Entry' functionality.
Bar Code Scanning When in Registration mode, with active scanning and 2nd person managing Registrations could result in a conflict for the same resources resulting in a crash. Timing for this to happen has to be perfect so this is rare. This conflict should no longer occur.
Create New event SCCA 2 Driver setting did not stick on a clean Start New Event.

Version 17.10 - Jan 2017

New Features

NEW Timer Support Introducing a new T-LINK Timer option.  T-LINK Direct is a new hardware and software configuration that utilizes an RF Module instead of a T-LINK-Z unit at the computer.
  • This provides existing systems to add an RF Module and use their Z unit as a spare unit or as a sector timer.
  • With a spare unit use programming plugs and reconfigure any unit to be any other unit.
  • Reduced cost for the industrial grade hardware for a fully functional T-LINK system.
  • Management and control of T-LINKS is identical to systems with a T-LINK Z unit at the PC.

Enhancements

Networking
Newly Created Event
When creating a new event and immediately networking it to clients from the T&S Server, the TCP Q's were not properly initialized and appears as "Q Access Errors"  in the Networking status window. This was strictly a warning and did slow the data exchanges between the T&S and the Clients since the T&S was attempting to access items that did not exist.  It carried out a retry process that would never actually succeed.

Although data was still properly exchanged, this could potentially reduce communication exchanges if connections dropped and reconnected. The Q's are there to buffer and cache data if the connection dies for whatever reason (WIFI errors etc). In such cases, data synchronization issues could occur.

Live Timing Uploads to ORM If a slow connection results in an HTTP upload that exceeds 6 seconds, the process was prematurely aborted.  This could cause additional updates to be ignored.
Live Timing Continued minor modifications to Live Timing for Heat and Structure formats.

Bug Fixes

Announcer Window The preload of the Announcer Window after loading an event popped in extraneous staged rows. Once a single vehicle was staged, it was properly refreshed.
Initializing Class Tree View Several revisions ago we reset the Class Tree view to the Active Heat when loading an even, however the initial Class Tree View was missing the Spanning Pax Classes.  This was a result of the load order and now functions as expected.
Handling Corrupted Timer Data We have found a peculiar issue with a standard Windows function that could cause a crash if invalid characters due were seen.  We have switched to an improved function that now properly checks and validates corrupted data in communication exchanges with timers.
