The MLED-3R is a wireless LED display using that requires a TX unit that provides the interface to the display from the Timing PC.
Distance for a safe transmission is ideally less than 100 meters away with a direct line of sight, but a few hundred meters can still be reached depending of environmental conditions and devices location.
